Objective
Clear six neon levels. The ball moves noticeably quicker than in Brick Breaker Classic, but power-ups drop about three times as often to compensate.
How to play
Keyboard
- ← / → or A / D - move the paddle
- Space - launch the ball
- P - pause and resume
- R - restart
- M - sound on or off
Mouse
Move the pointer across the play area and the paddle follows. Click to launch. Mouse control gives analogue positioning, which is what most high scores are set with.
Touch
Drag your finger anywhere on the play area - you do not need to touch the paddle itself. Tap to launch. Large left, launch and right buttons appear below the game on touch devices. Keep your finger low on the screen so your hand does not cover the bricks.

What makes this one different
The speed change is the point. A faster ball shortens the window between a rebound leaving a brick and arriving at your paddle, so you cannot afford to watch the ball - you have to predict it. The wave and zig-zag formations also leave irregular gaps, which produces much less predictable rebound paths than a flat grid.
Tips for Neon Brick Breaker
- Keep the paddle nearer the centre by default. With a fast ball, the centre is the shortest average travel distance to anywhere.
- Wave levels leave diagonal gaps. A ball that enters one keeps its angle, so expect it to exit on the far side rather than coming straight back.
- The double-score capsule is worth chasing when a large cluster is still standing. It is worth little when four bricks remain.
- If a fireball drops, do not stand still. Fireballs pass straight through bricks, so the ball keeps moving in one direction and returns sooner than you expect.
- Use the slow capsule to reset a run you are losing control of, not to score more.
Frequently asked questions
How much faster is Neon Brick Breaker?
The ball starts roughly 25 percent quicker than in Brick Breaker Classic and gains more speed per level, so the last level is close to double the opening pace.
Which power-ups appear in this game?
Wider paddle, multi-ball, slow ball, fireball, double score and floor shield. The shrink capsule does not appear here.
Does the glow affect performance?
The glow is drawn with the canvas shadow blur, which is inexpensive at this scale. If you are on a very old device, the game will still run at a lower frame rate without breaking the physics, because movement is time-based rather than frame-based.
Is there an end to it?
Yes. Clearing the sixth level finishes the game and shows your final score.
