Brick Breaker Game Guides - Controls, Physics and Power-Ups
Practical how-to guides: controls, paddle movement, ball physics, power-ups and level progression, written so a first-time player can follow them.
Guides in this section answer the question 'how does this actually work?'. They cover the mechanics you interact with directly - moving the paddle, launching the ball, reading a rebound, deciding whether to catch a falling power-up - and they explain the reasoning, not just the button presses.
Every claim here is checked against the games on this site. Where a mechanic differs between our games and other brick breakers you may have played, the guide says so.

Frequently asked questions
What controls do brick breaker games use?
Left and right movement, and a launch input. On this site that means the arrow keys or A and D, your mouse, or dragging your finger, plus Space or a tap to launch.
Is there a right way to hit the ball with the paddle?
There is a useful way: where the ball lands on the paddle changes the rebound angle. Centre contact sends the ball nearly straight up, edge contact sends it out at a steep angle. Choosing that contact point deliberately is the core skill.
Do these guides apply to other brick breaker games?
The physics and strategy sections mostly transfer, because almost all brick breakers use paddle-relative rebound angles. Specific power-up names and scoring rules vary from game to game.
