Everything on this site is published for general information and entertainment. It is written carefully and checked, but it is not professional advice of any kind, and you use it at your own discretion.
Gameplay claims
Statements about how our games behave - capsule durations, point values, descent intervals, ball speeds - are taken from the game code and are accurate at the time of writing. Games are occasionally retuned. If you find a discrepancy between an article and a game, the game is authoritative and we would like to hear about it so we can fix the article.
Strategy advice describes approaches that work in the games on this site and generally transfer to others. It is not a guarantee of any particular result. Other brick breakers use different rebound limits, scoring rules and power-up behaviour.
Historical information
Arcade history from the 1970s and 1980s is imperfectly documented, and several widely repeated claims are contested. Where a detail is disputed, we attribute it rather than asserting it as fact, and we link to sources. If you have better information, including a primary source, please tell us.
No statistics are invented
We do not publish visitor numbers, player counts, subscriber totals, user ratings or survey data. Where reliable figures for a claim do not exist, the claim is omitted rather than supported by an invented number.
No guarantees of availability
The site is provided as-is. Games may behave differently across browsers, devices and operating system versions. We test on current versions of the major browsers but cannot test every combination.
Locally saved data
Scores, favourites and preferences are stored in your browser and can be lost by clearing site data, using private browsing, or switching browser or device. We hold no copy and cannot restore them.

Breakout is a trademark of Atari. Arkanoid is a trademark of Taito. Other names mentioned may be trademarks of their owners. All are used editorially, for historical and descriptive purposes. This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected to any of these companies. Our games are original implementations with their own names, code and artwork.
