Objective
Survive five levels on two lives. Unbreakable blocks deflect the ball unpredictably and several brick rows slide sideways while you play.
How to play
Keyboard
- ← / → or A / D - move the paddle
- Space - launch the ball
- P - pause and resume
- R - restart
- M - sound on or off
Mouse
Move the pointer across the play area and the paddle follows. Click to launch. Mouse control gives analogue positioning, which is what most high scores are set with.
Touch
Drag your finger anywhere on the play area - you do not need to touch the paddle itself. Tap to launch. Large left, launch and right buttons appear below the game on touch devices. Keep your finger low on the screen so your hand does not cover the bricks.

What makes this one different
Every level here is an obstacle problem rather than a clearing problem. Unbreakable blocks sit where you most want the ball to travel, and moving rows mean the gap you aimed at will have shifted by the time the ball arrives. It is the only game on the site where waiting is often the correct play.
Tips for Brick Breaker Challenge
- Moving rows are predictable: they oscillate on a fixed cycle. Watch one full sweep before committing to an angle.
- Unbreakable blocks are not obstacles to avoid - they are mirrors. A deliberate bank off one can reach bricks you cannot hit directly.
- With two lives, a cautious clear beats a fast one. There is no time bonus here.
- Shallow angles are dangerous on these layouts. They tend to trap the ball in a horizontal rally under the wall where you cannot influence it.
- If the shield capsule drops, catch it. It is the only safety net in the game.
Frequently asked questions
How many lives do I get?
Two. There are no extra life capsules in this game.
What do the grey blocks do?
They are unbreakable. The ball bounces off them exactly like a wall and they never disappear, so they stay in play for the whole level.
Why are some bricks moving?
Selected rows slide horizontally on a sine cycle. It forces you to lead your aim rather than shoot at a static target.
Is there a time limit?
No. This game rewards patience, so there is nothing pushing you to rush.
