Objective
Clear each level before the 75-second timer runs out. The clock refills at the start of every level, and every unused second is worth twelve points.
How to play
Keyboard
- ← / → or A / D - move the paddle
- Space - launch the ball
- P - pause and resume
- R - restart
- M - sound on or off
Mouse
Move the pointer across the play area and the paddle follows. Click to launch. Mouse control gives analogue positioning, which is what most high scores are set with.
Touch
Drag your finger anywhere on the play area - you do not need to touch the paddle itself. Tap to launch. Large left, launch and right buttons appear below the game on touch devices. Keep your finger low on the screen so your hand does not cover the bricks.

What makes this one different
Time pressure inverts the usual risk calculation. In every other game here, a slow, safe rally costs you nothing. Here, a safe rally costs points and can cost you the level. The acceleration rule compounds it: a long run of paddle returns leaves you with a ball you can barely track, so the fastest clear is usually also the most controlled one.
Tips for Speed Brick Breaker
- Aim at clusters, not at stragglers. Dense areas return more bricks per second of clock.
- Every paddle return adds speed. The fewer returns you need, the more manageable the end of the level is.
- A steep angle into the top rows buys several free hits while the ball is above the wall, which is the single biggest time saver.
- The slow capsule also buys control, which usually saves more time than it costs to catch.
- If the timer is nearly out, chase the fastest remaining bricks rather than the highest-scoring ones. Clearing the level is worth more than the bricks are.
Frequently asked questions
What happens when the timer runs out?
The run ends immediately, wherever you are. There is no grace period.
Does the timer reset between levels?
Yes. Each of the five levels starts with a full 75 seconds, and your unused time is converted to bonus points first.
How fast does the ball get?
It starts fast and gains a little on every paddle contact, up to a hard ceiling. A long level can end close to double the starting speed.
Is there a pause?
Yes, press P or use the Pause button. The timer stops with the game, so pausing is not a way to lose time or to gain it.
