Objective
Clear every breakable brick using a limited supply of balls. Unbreakable blocks form the puzzle, and explosive bricks chain into their neighbours when destroyed.
How to play
Keyboard
- ← / → or A / D - move the paddle
- Space - launch the ball along the sweeping aim line
- P - pause and resume
- R - restart
- M - sound on or off
Mouse
Move the pointer across the play area and the paddle follows. Click to launch. Mouse control gives analogue positioning, which is what most high scores are set with.
Touch
Drag your finger anywhere on the play area - you do not need to touch the paddle itself. Tap to launch. Large left, launch and right buttons appear below the game on touch devices. Keep your finger low on the screen so your hand does not cover the bricks.

What makes this one different
Replacing lives with a ball count changes what failure means. Losing a ball is not a penalty here - it is simply the end of that attempt, and you have a countable number of attempts. The aim line sweeps continuously, so launching is a timing decision, and the explosive bricks reward you for finding a single entry point that collapses half the board.
Tips for Brick Breaker Puzzle
- Watch a full sweep of the aim line before your first launch. It tells you which angles are even available from your current paddle position.
- Move the paddle before you launch. Your launch position changes the whole set of reachable angles.
- Explosive bricks take out their immediate neighbours. Two placed near each other will chain, so find the shot that reaches the first one.
- Unbreakable blocks are the puzzle. Plan a bank off one rather than trying to find a gap through them.
- A ball that gets above the wall can clear far more than a direct hit. Spending a ball to open a channel is often the best use of one.
Frequently asked questions
How many balls do I get?
Twelve for the whole run, shown in the Balls counter. Each launch spends one, and they are not refilled between levels.
How do I aim?
A dashed line sweeps left and right above the paddle. Press Space or tap when it points where you want the ball to go.
What happens if I run out of balls?
The run ends. Your score and the levels you cleared are recorded as your local best.
Are the levels random?
No. The layouts are fixed and seeded, so the same puzzle appears every time and you can genuinely plan a solution.
